Shipping policy

Shipping & Delivery Policy

1. Shipping Methods & Signature Requirement

To ensure the security of your purchase, all orders exceeding [e.g., ₹15,000 or $200] are shipped via a "Signature Required" service.

  • No Exceptions: We cannot waive the signature requirement for high-value shipments.

  • Redirects: For security reasons, we do not allow packages to be rerouted or redirected to a different address once they have been dispatched.

2. Processing vs. Transit Time

Please distinguish between "Processing Time" and "Transit Time."

  • Processing: Items in stock typically ship within 7 business days. Custom or made-to-order pieces require 3 weeks for production.

  • Transit: Delivery timelines provided at checkout are estimates from the carrier and are not guaranteed by Rajat Sansar. We are not liable for delays caused by carrier backlogs, weather, or customs clearance.

3. Insurance & Transfer of Risk

All items are insured by Rajat Sansar until the moment of delivery.

  • Liability Shift: The risk of loss and title for the merchandise passes to the customer upon delivery by the carrier to the address provided.

  • Delivery Definition: A "Delivered" status in the carrier’s tracking system (or a signed proof of delivery) constitutes a completed transaction. Rajat Sansar is not liable for "porch piracy" or theft that occurs after the package has been marked as delivered.

4. Inspection & Reporting (The "48-Hour Rule")

To prevent fraudulent claims of damage or missing items, we enforce a strict inspection window:

  • Immediate Inspection: Upon receipt, you must inspect the package for signs of tampering before signing. If the outer box is heavily damaged or open, please refuse the delivery.

  • Reporting Window: Any claim for "Damaged in Transit" or "Missing Item" must be reported to our team at Support@rajatsansar.com within 48 hours of the tracked delivery time.

  • Evidence Required: You must provide clear photos of the outer packaging, inner packaging, and the item itself. Claims made after 48 hours will not be honored as we cannot verify the chain of custody.

5. Incorrect Shipping Information

The customer is responsible for providing a correct and secure shipping address.

  • Invalid Addresses: If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided by the customer or failed delivery attempts, the customer will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping.

  • P.O. Boxes: We do not ship to P.O. Boxes or freight forwarding services due to the high risk of loss and lack of signature capability.

6. International Shipping, Duties, and Taxes

For international orders, the recipient is the "Importer of Record."

  • Customs Fees: All import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the sole responsibility of the customer. These are not included in the shipping price.

  • Refused Shipments: If a customer refuses an international shipment to avoid duties, the package will be abandoned by the carrier. In this event, Rajat Sansar will not issue a refund for the order or the shipping costs.

7. Force Majeure

Rajat Sansar shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, strikes, or national logistics failures.
